TCHS Dance

The Believe dance concert is Treasure Coast High School’s annual culminating dance performance event.  This is a wonderful time of the year that all of the dance students look forward to.  The performance is extremely high energy and the entire campus and Port St. Lucie community anticipate this event.

All dance students are required to participate in this performance.  The students perform for a live audience of family, friends, community members, and the TCHS student body, faculty, and staff.  Thorough involvement in the dance concert is a major portion of the 3rd and 4th quarter grade.  Each class is in the spotlight with their own large group dance.  All learning, preparation, and rehearsal take place in class.  Additional after-school rehearsals are required come the month of the show; this includes finale rehearsals, administrative approval showings, and a full dress rehearsal.  DVDs and t-shirts are sold to commemorate the dance concert experience.

This year’s dance concert, Believe 2012, is tentatively scheduled for Memorial Day weekend:  Thursday, May 24th, Friday, May 25th, and Saturday, May 26th.  All performances to begin at 7 o’clock pm .

Believe 2012 is all about D-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y.  The dances created will celebrate the expansive, yet enthralling ethnicities, cultures, and lifestyles choices that make our world go-round.

More details and schedules will be presented starting in November 2011.
